Professor Diego P. Fernández Arroyo spoke at the XXVIIth International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) Congress convened in Madrid from the 12 to 15th April 2026.

On that occasion, Professor Fernández Arroyo, in concert with his co-speakers, addressed the multifaceted question of procedural integrity and the legitimacy of international commercial arbitration, as well as international arbitration more broadly. The panel engaged in a nuanced examination of the mechanisms through which confidence may be cultivated and sustained across diverse jurisdictions, offering a refined analysis of the normative and practical dimensions underpinning contemporary arbitral practice.
